Embedded M2M Solutions - XRS System for Compliance and Fleet Optimization Now Available for Limited Release

XRS Corporation, a provider of mobile fleet optimization software, made its XRS system, a mobile platform for compliance and fleet optimization, available in limited release.

The new XRS system takes into account that up to 90 percent of drivers own a mobile device and the unwillingness of fleet managers to install expensive bulky onboard solutions and hard-wired displays. With no additional hardware costs, the XRS platform is expected to be available from major mobile networks in both U.S. and Canada.

Jay Coughlan, chief executive officer at XRS Corporation commented, “Mobile technology is taking fleet optimization to new heights of efficiency and flexibility, and XRS is the first comprehensive software solution created exclusively for mobile devices. Expensive, hard-wired on-board displays are rapidly disappearing, while mobile technology is poised to help thousands of transportation innovators create customized, flexible fleet management systems with almost immediate return-on-investment.”

XRS is stated to be a compliance powerhouse in the palm of the driver’s hand and operates on their mobile device. Its main objective is to help keep fleets and drivers compliant. The subscription-based monthly service is expected to start at $39 per vehicle per month.

With advanced features built into it for enhanced fleet optimization, XRS does not demand frequent hardware replacements and can help drivers realize benefits like reduced fuel consumption, better driver and vehicle utilization, and accident reduction.

Odell Tuttle, chief technology officer for XRS added, “The next-generation XRS cloud platform is built on a foundation of highly scalable and highly available infrastructure unlike any other products in this market. This cloud-based platform gives XRS the ability to scale and support a very large number of subscribers as the demand for EOBR systems grows dramatically. It also provides the ability to adjust capacity based on customer needs, while doing so in an economic way.”
