Engerati has been chosen as a new cooperation partner for the M2M Challenge, an innovation competition that recognizes and awards revolutionary M2M solutions.
Engerati is an online Smart Energy platform serving as a meeting place for energy professionals. This platform was launched in 2012 and is now popular amongst Smart Energy professionals who leverage it to network.
This online Smart Energy platform also enables users to access information.
Christian Stammel, the co-initiator of the M2M Challenge is pleased to partner with Engerati as it will enable the innovation competition to reach a larger number of developers and professionals in the area of Smart Energy.
"M2M is a key component for future energy and enabling consumer-led demand response,” said Adam Malik, content director, Engerati. “Engerati is excited to support the M2M Challenge, and to help encourage innovation of future M2M energy applications."
The M2M Challenge is encouraging the developers to submit their solutions until November 30th 2013 at m2m-challenge.com.
Energy is not the only category applications are invited for and developers can also submit for other categories including Mobility, Healthcare, Security and Consumer Electronics.
Once developers have uploaded their applications they will be evaluated by an international panel of experts.
Entries will be evaluated for factors such as usability, business potential and their innovative character, business potential, and usability. Earlier this year, an emergency watch from Limmex won first place in the M2M Challenge.
This watch was announced as the overall winner this year for its use of GSM/GPRS technology. This technology allows users to set up a phone call to friends and family or an emergency call center.
Other nominees for this competition were GlucoTel, the glucose monitoring and management system by BodyTel. Patient’s data is sent to a secure online database that is guaranteed not be hacked or viewed without permission.
