Embedded M2M Solutions - IMS Unveils M2M Analytics Platform for Improved End-to-End Connectivity in Cars

To further improve end-to-end connectivity in cars, Canada-based Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (News - Alert) Inc. (IMS) has added three data analytics partners to its already robust, end-to-end usage-based insurance (UBI) programs. According to IMS, the addition of three data analytics partners will offer customers a choice in data insights and intelligence.

The company’s UBI programs, along with a complete suite of other driver-centric programs and services, are all powered by the IMS DriveSync platform, which includes the use of IMS DriveSync device.

While others in the connected car space only collect driver data, the IMS solution transforms data into true intelligent decision making information, said IMS. In fact, the company said that it has the best and most complete turnkey solutions that transform data into true intelligence and decision-making capabilities for their clients.

“It is the most convincing evidence to date that our company offers end-to-end solutions for UBI that address every issue,” said Daniel Lajeunesse, director of M2M Programs at IMS, in a statement. “Our Intelligent M2M Platform provides hardware, software, customer service and support, revenue-generating options, and now, top-notch data analytics partners who not only collect data, but transform it into true intelligence that is useful for drivers and insurance carriers. We feel that this key differentiation makes us the best in the business.”

Furthermore, according to IMS, the new alliances also mean that clients are able to choose the data analytics provider that best fits their needs. IMS claims that other UBI program providers cannot offer this valuable option. IMS said that it depends on quality relationships with industry partners to produce complete solutions for their clients. As part of a turnkey solution, the addition of these partnerships only strengthens the company’s position in the ever-evolving UBI marketplace, asserted IMS.

“We want to offer our clients as many options and intelligence choices as possible to help them be successful in their UBI programs,” concluded Lajeunesse.
