The global wireless M2M market has witnessed considerable growth in 2010. This is mainly because of the global economic recovery. Experts predict that shipments of wireless M2M communication units, which include modules, integrated terminals and chipset based solutions, recorded an increase of 48.0 percent. This means there 37.0 million units sold in this period.
Sprint (News - Alert) is looking to get a piece of the action in this market with some new initiatives. They include the continuous development of the company’s diverse M2M solutions portfolio and expansion of its vast M2M ecosystem features.
Apart from the above mentioned features, the company has also introduced industry-first core competencies and partnered with Orange Business Services (News - Alert) and other relationships around the world.
The company’s efforts in this field haven’t gone unnoticed. Sprint has earned various awards for its M2M execution from reputed independent entities in 2012.
